Raw Water Filtration

● Process

Primary filtration at pump house or main header, supplying clean water from river, reservoir or municipal network to the entire mill.

● Problem:

Sand, suspended solids and microbes cause wear, nozzle clogging and downstream contamination – increasing maintenance and downtime.

● Solution:

Automatic self-cleaning filter as first barrier removes large particles, ensures continuous clean water and protects all downstream processes.

Wire Section High-Pressure Shower Filtration

● Process:

Final filtration of high-pressure shower water for forming fabric cleaning to maintain uniform dewatering.

● Problem:

Residual fibres and fines clog tiny nozzles, leading to fabric plugging, sheet holes and shortened fabric life.

● Solution:

High-pressure self-cleaning filter at pump outlet, just before shower header – delivers absolutely clean water, eliminates nozzle blockages.

Felt Section High-Pressure Shower Filtration

● Process:

Filtration of high-pressure shower water for continuous press felt cleaning to preserve permeability and dewatering.

● Problem:

Contaminants fill felt pores (“plugging”), reducing dewatering, raising steam consumption and requiring frequent felt changes.

● Solution:

Same high-pressure filter at felt shower discharge – keeps water clean and felt in optimal condition.

● Process:

Final polishing of ultra-clear white water from DAF or disc filters before reuse in showers, dilution, etc.

High-precision self-cleaning filter on recovery system outlet header – upgrades water quality, enables high-rate recycling.

Vacuum Pump Seal Water Filtration

● Process:

Purification of seal water used for cooling and sealing vacuum pumps (suction rolls, couch rolls, etc.).

● Problem:

Fibres and fillers in seal water wear impellers and end faces – reducing vacuum performance and increasing maintenance.

● Solution:

Self-cleaning filter ahead of seal water inlet – removes solids, protects critical rotating equipment.

Chemical Filtration

● Process:

Filtration of coating starch, latex, retention aids, sizing agents, wet strength agents, dyes and other chemicals before system entry.

● Problem:

Undissolved gels, lumps, precipitates or particles cause coating streaks, blade damage, uneven dyeing (spots) and other defects – harming printability.

● Solution:

Based on viscosity, temperature and solids content, select bag, basket or scraper self-cleaning filters to remove impurities at optimal precision with minimal shear – preserving chemical effectiveness.
