Product Introduction
The cartridge filter is a highly efficient, modular pressure-driven filtration equipment. The fluid to be filtered (such as water, gas, oil, or chemicals) is driven by pressure to flow from the outside of the filter cartridge to the inside (or from the inside to outside). The core cartridge is a unit that integrates the filtration medium, support structure, and connection interface, trapping impurities in its pores or on its surface, while the clean fluid exits from the center. When filtration efficiency decreases (indicated by an increased pressure differential or reduced flow rate), only the filter cartridge needs to be replaced or cleaned, significantly reducing maintenance costs.
Key Advantages & Features
• Modular Design: Easy replacement and low maintenance costs; only the filter cartridge needs to be replaced or cleaned.
• Flexible Adaptation: The same housing can accommodate cartridges with different filtration ratings and materials to meet diverse process requirements.
• Wide Product Range: Offers a broad selection from coarse to ultra-fine filtration, covering various application scenarios.
• Standardized Dimensions/Connections: Designed with industry-standard specifications to ensure excellent interchangeability and compatibility.
Structure Overview and Working Principle
The filter primarily consists of a filter vessel, filter cartridges, and a divider plate.
The filter cartridges are installed below or on the divider plate, dividing the interior of the vessel into two independent chambers: the unfiltered fluid chamber and the clean fluid chamber. During operation, the fluid to be treated is driven by pressure through the filter cartridge. Its filtration medium effectively retains impurities, while the purified clean fluid flows out from the chamber on the opposite side, completing the filtration process. This design features a simple and compact structure, ensuring stable an d reliable operation with easy routine maintenance.

Filter Cartridge Installation: (1) Below the Divider Plate, (2) (3) On the Divider Plate
Filtering Direction: (1) (2) From Outside to Inside, (3) From Inside to Outside
When the filter cartridges are installed below the divider plate (Figure 1), the filter can be manually backwashed offline.

The unfiltered liquid (dirty liquid) enters the filter through the feed inlet located on the lower side of the vessel, flowing in an outside-in direction through the filter cartridges. The liquid that penetrates the filter media becomes clarified and collects in the upper clean liquid chamber, from which it is discharged through the outlet. Suspended solids are retained on the surface and within the depth of the filter cartridges, achieving the desired solid-liquid separation.
As filtration proceeds, accumulated solids increase, causing the pressure drop across the filter to rise progressively. When the pressure drop reaches the predetermined setpoint, the filter can be taken offline for cleaning. This is performed by closing the inlet and outlet valves, and introducing compressed gas, demineralized water, or other suitable medium from the top to backwash the filter cartridges, flushing dislodged impurities from the element surface. The impurities are discharged together with the backwash medium through the bottom drain outlet. The backwash procedure can be tailored to meet specific process requirements.
Upon completion of the cleaning cycle, the filter is switched back to the filtration mode and brought online.

Selection Guidelines
① Define Filtration Objectives: Determine whether the goal is particle removal, odor adsorption, sterilization, or other specific separation requirements.
② Analyze Fluid Characteristics: Understand the chemical composition, operating temperature, viscosity, impurity type, and concentration of the medium.
③ Determine Key Parameters: Calculate the required flow rate, system operating pressure, maximum allowable pressure differential, and target filtration rating.
④ Select Cartridge Material: Choose the appropriate cartridge material based on chemical compatibility with the fluid, operating temperature, and corrosion resistance requirements.
⑤ Match Filter Housing: Select the corresponding housing model according to pressure rating, flow rate, and pipeline connection size.
⑥ Evaluate Overall Economics: Comprehensively balance the initial investment against long-term cartridge replacement costs, service life, and maintenance frequency.
